Born in 1966 in Dar-Es Salam, Tanzania. Studied at Royal College of Art and received MA Arch in 1993 and awarded the RIBA First Prize Bronze Medal that same year. Formed a partnership in 1994 and reorganized into Adjaye Associates in 2000, a London-based architecture firm.
His recent projects include “The Moscow School of Management Skolkovo” (Moscow, Russia/2010) and “The New National Museum of African American History and Culture for the Smithsonian Institution” in Washington, D.C., USA to be completed in 2015.
