The enormous damage of the devastating earthquake disproved the confidence in architecture and infrastructure in Japan.
While compared with the area which suffered the direct onslaught of the earthquake disaster, the damage to the capital city, Tokyo, might only be slight, now, it must be time to ask ourselves again, how architecture can prepare, resist, and make the future assuming the earthquake in Tokyo. Learning from 3.11, we hope to investigate and explore the new possibilities of architecture for the future with participants from all over the world.

UIA2011東京大会のメインテーマ「DESIGN 2050」のもと、建築を学ぶ世界中の学生を対象にした国際建築設計競技（アイデアコンペ）を実施します。
コンペの参加には、応募登録と応募料（1作品につき4,000円）が必要です。2011年秋のUIA2011東京大会では、受賞各者による作品のプレゼンテーションや表彰式を行います。

UIA2011東京大会の学術プログラムとして実施する「論文発表」と「建築デザイン発表」に向けた「アブストラクト (内容の要約版) 」を、国内外の建築家や技術者、研究者、学生などから広く募集します。
応募には、応募登録が必要です。応募・提出はすべてWebsite上で行い、英語のみ (日本語は不可) で受け付けます。
「論文」は、アブストラクトによる1次審査の後、2次審査 (本論文審査) まで実施して、採択者を選出します。「建築デザイン」は、アブストラクトを対象とする審査で採択者を選出します。
「論文」および「建築デザイン」の発表は、UIA2011東京大会の学術プログラム (2011年9月26日−28日) の一環で、採択者によるプレゼンテーション形式とポスターセッション形式で行います。
